Paratus was represented at the 2017 Momentum Health Tankwa Trek MTB race
The race was held in the beautiful Bokkeveld and Witzenburg areas in South Africa close to Ceres - the heart of deciduous fruit country.
It boasts winding trails through rocky outcrops and with steep climbs yet a beautiful and unique scenery.
We would like to congratulate Ian Grassow (Namibia Sales Manager) and Shawn Bruwer (Botswana MD) on their achievement of 24th and 23rd respectively out of 956 riders as well as an overall team result of 13th overall. Well done for keeping the Paratus name so high!
We would like to express our humble appreciation towards the Hon. Minister Jooste from the Ministry of Public Enterprises as well as his delegation, Mr. van Rooyen (Head of CARU & Financial Expert) and Mr. Kaura (Director of Governance and Financial Advice) for visiting the Paratus Telecom Head Office in Windhoek today.
Paratus Telecom provided Internet access to WAP (Windhoek Afrikaanse Privaatskool) for the "Interhuis 2017" athletics event to upload all the action photos onto their Facebook page as well as keeping the parents and family in close contact with each other while the children enjoy their sport.

As you know, we will shave 11 Paratus beards on Friday the 25’th November for our effort to raise funds for the Cancer Association in Namibia. Paratus already pledged N$ 11,000.00 for this effort (N$ 1,000.00 x 11 beards). If you pledge the same or more, you will be invited to the beard shaving event here at our office on 25 November.
All the 11 beards already committed to running down Independence Avenue only in their tekkies and jockey’s at an undisclosed date and time.
Windhoek Farmer Verein invited Paratus Telecom to demonstrate the VSAT Solution. Over 70 members were in attendance, on the farm Rainhof, located 60km east of Windhoek.The solution was well received by the farmers. Paratus Telecom 'Always Prepared'

FIRST DIRECT FLIGHT: Sunday, 30 October 2016 - Air Namibia, inaugural flight between Windhoek and Gaborone (Botswana) flight SW741.
According to Mr Harmse: "Paratus Telecom is extremely proud to be on this inaugural direct flight between Windhoek and Gaborone. What makes this occasion even more memorable is that Paratus has been a technology and telecommunications partner to Air Namibia for many years. Like Air Namibia, Paratus Telecom is also 100% Namibian owned, and it is absolutely no secret that Air Namibia is our Group's airline of choice."
The Paratus Group recently established an office in Gaborone, Paratus Telecommunications Botswana.
Wimpie van Vuuren; "Air Namibia is excited and very proud to add this route between Windhoek and Gaborone to their regular schedule. From Gaborone this flight will continue onward to Durban in South Africa, and return later during the day to Windhoek, via Gaborone. This flight departs from Windhoek at 7:30 am local time, on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday."

PINK Day, Friday, 28 October 2016. Paratus staff dressed in PINK to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Great to see our men joining in!
Paratus Bearded Men have been growing their beards and will shave them off in support of the Movember Cancer Association initiative on the 25th November, and hereby challenge everybody to pledge anything from N$50 and up, in support of the Movember initiative. Paratus Telecom have pledged N$11000.00 for 11 Bearded Men, and challenge corporates, business owners and members of the public to meet or beat the Paratus Telecom pledge.
In response to the Paratus Telecom pledge being met or beaten, the Bearded Men, we will run (just tekkies and jocky) down Independence from the Hilton to Kalahari Sands at an undisclosed date and time.
